PPI is Gwangju’s first generation company in the photonic industry. Founded in Sept. 1999 as a venture enterprise, we are now at the center of the photonics industry. We have endured countless technical, managerial and legal complications along the way. Although our tolerance grew, we did not let our guard down and continued the hard work. We are now one of the major firms in the industry and received praise as Hidden Champion and World-Class Product Company for our advanced technology and finest products.

We believe the domain of photonics is dynamic and still full of challenges. Optical fiber communication technology opened the door to internet, IP TV, and smart mobile in the 2000s, and currently a huge wave of change called the 4th industrial revolution is demanding an advanced optic-based platform. The role of optoelectronics is vital and at the core of ultra-high-speed, hyper-connected and ultra-low latency technology that is indispensable to 5G and the data center of the 4th wave industries. Development of optical control and sensor parts and photoelectric systems is the start of another ambition set forth by PPI. The optoelectronic industry has limitless potential in creating new markets when converged with other industrial fields such as medicine, safety, aeronautics, automobile and home appliances.
